Biography
Dr. Umar Maqbool is a Specialist in General Surgery with over 15 years of clinical experience across a wide range of surgical disciplines. He completed his master’s degree in general surgery from Government Medical College, Srinagar, followed by a Fellowship in Renal Transplant Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi. He has worked in specialty hospitals in India and the UAE, gaining comprehensive experience in general and laparoscopic surgery. His clinical expertise includes advanced laparoscopic procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, bowel surgery, and other minimally invasive interventions. He also has significant experience in vascular surgery, kidney transplantation, and post-operative care. Dr. Omar is experienced in managing high-risk surgical cases and is actively involved in improving surgical outcomes and training junior surgeons in hospital settings. He is actively engaged in academic and professional activities, participating in certified training programs and international workshops.
