Dr. Rehna K. Rahman has been immersed in the field of pediatric nephrology since 2017. She completed her residency at the Department of Pediatric Nephrology, St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, a leading institute in pediatric nephrology services. Dr. Rahman is well-versed in managing pediatric glomerular diseases, including challenging cases of nephrotic syndrome and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome. Her expertise extends to caring for children with CAKUT (Congenital Anomalies of the Kidney and Urinary Tract) and abnormal bladder conditions. In addition, Dr. Rahman has substantial experience in managing children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and those undergoing peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis. She has managed critically ill children with acute kidney injury (AKI) and has performed SLED (Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis) and CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy). Dr. Rahman is also trained in renal transplantation and has successfully performed several live-related renal transplantations in children. Her procedural training includes percutaneous ultrasound-guided renal biopsy, ultrasound-guided temporary hemodialysis access insertion, and acute peritoneal dialysis access insertion.
