Dr. Ibrahim Mahmoud Alqahwaji is a highly skilled ENT specialist with over 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ear, nose, and throat disorders. Dr. Mahesh has completed his MRCS, Board Certification (CCT) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the UK and is also a Diplomate of Sports and Exercise Medicine – UK. He has worked as a Consultant and Director of Rehabilitation Medicine in the UK and MENA region for more than nine years. He was also Chair of the Musculoskeletal special interest group of the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine. He is also interested in training and research and is currently director of the Center for Advanced Rehabilitation Training and Education – UK (CARTE-UK). He also works as a Sports and Exercise Medicine consultant for several Premier League football and rugby clubs in the UK. He specializes in the rapid rehabilitation of sports injuries using a combination of high-end interventions and the most advanced rehabilitation techniques. He has a broad clinical practice that includes neurological problems; brain injury rehabilitation; stroke; spinal cord injury rehabilitation; chronic pain – including neuromodulation with spinal cord stimulators and Intrathecal pain pumps; musculoskeletal and joint problems; pediatric; sports injuries; and spasticity management with nerve blocks and Botox treatments. He is currently Chief of Rehabilitation for Burjeel Holdings. He leads a skilled multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, dieticians, nutrition specialists, and advanced skilled rehabilitation nurses.

Mohab is a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Doctor with over 20 years of clinical experience. He completed his surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Mohab started his career in hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the year 2000 at Air Forces General Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. He was the only doctor responsible for the selection and evaluation of patients undergoing HBOT. Dr. Mohab is the first doctor in MOH, DHA, and DOH to obtain hyperbaric oxygen therapy license. Dr. Mohab is appointed examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He Treated the oldest patient in the world at Al Zahra hospital, Dubai (99 years old) and youngest baby in gulf area (one month old). Currently Dr. Mohab is the Head of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Burjeel Medical City.

After gaining the professional qualification of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India, Mr. Melbinkips Rathnamony acquired an MBA degree from in healthcare from Sikkim Manipal University, India. He commenced his career in physiotherapy practice as a Physiotherapist at the Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru, India. Later Mr. Melbinkips moved to the Middle East and worked as Physiotherapist at the Lifecare Hospital, Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE. His expertise in post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, spine care and neuro rehabilitation.

Nitya has got resourceful experience traversing over 11 years. Her areas of expertise include clinical distinction in the field of pediatric and adult neuro rehabilitation, skilled in NDT technique, PNF technique, manual therapy, kinesiotaping and Ergon technique for Myofascial Release. She practices a comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation using treatment modalities including The Therasuit Universal exercise unit, Pulley system, Spider cage and hydrotherapy. She’s currently responsible for handling pediatric patients referred for physiotherapy. That includes, but not limited to conditions like cerebral palsy, Congenital Talipo Equino Varus Deformity (CTEV), Torticollis, developmental delays, muscular dystrophies, autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome, genetic syndromes, learning disabilities, spina bifida, hypoxic induced encephalopathy, early intervention in premature babies (admitted in NICU). Noor Farouk Abu Dheir is a dedicated and accomplished Clinical Dietitian with HAAD and DHA licensure, holding a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sharjah. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Nutrition and has extensive experience in critical healthcare settings, including oncology, ICU, palliative care, and bone marrow transplant units at Burjeel Medical City. Her professional journey began with an internship at Rashid Hospital and Trauma Centre, where she co-organized a nutrition workshop at the University of Sharjah. Following the completion of her B.Sc., she undertook a post-graduate internship to qualify for the DHA examination. Noor’s expertise spans enteral and parenteral nutrition, particularly for critically ill patients, and she has established comprehensive policies and procedures for the Nutrition and Dietetic Department at BMC. In addition to inpatient care, she is actively involved in outpatient clinic duties, offering specialized nutrition education and support.

Dr. Nancy Mohamed El Shamy is a General Practitioner at Burjeel Darak for Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation in Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi. She received her medical degree from the October 6 University, Egypt. She is a well experienced physician with six years of experience in Egypt and United Arab Emirates.

Praveen has 22 years’ experience in physiotherapy. He’s spent 8 years being an inpatient rehabilitation team leader. He’s an expert at early interventions for pediatrics, acute post-operative rehabilitation in orthopedic and spinal surgeries, hand rehabilitation, intensive care unit rehabilitation, and post cardiac surgery rehabilitation.

Pratheeba is a physical therapist with eleven years of experience in evaluating and effectively treating patients. Ritika is a physiotherapist who is a highly motivated individual with over 12 years of experience possessing strong hands-on technique with vast academic knowledge in the field of neuro rehabilitation with high interpersonal skills and has the capacity to adjust in a fast-changing environment. Before shifting her base to UAE in 2016 she acquired her experience from Gleneagles Group of Hospitals – India where her role was vastly in post-surgical and neuro rehab OPDs. In the UAE, prior to joining Burjeel Medical City, she acquired her experience in treating neuro spinal disorders and pediatric rehab from HealthPoint Hospital LLC in Abu Dhabi. She’s an expertise in complex pediatric neuro and adult neuro rehabilitation, musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and women’s health.
