Advanced, Tailored Surgical Oncology Precision Care, Personalized for You
At the Department of General and Oncological Surgery, our Surgical Oncology division specializes in complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers—from colon, gastric, pancreatic tumors to sarcomas and peritoneal surface malignancies. We offer advanced treatments including cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC, hepatic artery infusion pumps, robotic-assisted resections, and individualized multidisciplinary protocols designed for optimal oncologic results with minimal morbidity.
Fellowship-Trained
Surgical Oncologists with deep expertise in GI, liver, sarcoma, and peritoneal surface malignanciesSpecialized

Invasive Robotic & Laparoscopic Approaches for GI, pancreatic, and sarcoma resectionsCommon Conditions & Subspecialty Clinics.
- Colon, rectal, gastric, pancreatic, and biliary tract tumors
- Liver metastases (colorectal, neuroendocrine, cholangiocarcinoma)
- Peritoneal Surface Malignancies
- Pseudomyxoma peritonei, peritoneal mesothelioma, peritoneal carcinomatosis from GI cancers
- Advanced cytoreduction and intraoperative regional chemotherapy (HIPEC)
- Sarcoma & Soft‑Tissue Tumors
- Primary and metastatic sarcomas in GI, retroperitoneal, and abdominal soft tissues
- Liver‑Directed Therapies
- Surgical placement of hepatic artery infusion pumps to deliver high-dose chemotherapy directly to liver tumors, often shrinking tumors or reducing recurrence risk
Procedures & Treatments.
Robotic-assisted gastrectomy, colectomy, pancreatic resections, and sarcoma surgery to reduce pain, blood loss, and hospital stay
Robotic & Minimally Invasive Oncology
Extensive peritoneal tumor debulking followed by heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy for peritoneal surface malignancy—achieving long-term control in selected patients
Cytoreduction with HIPEC
Hepatic artery infusion pump placement combined with systemic chemotherapy, for liver metastases, improving conversion-to-resectability and survival
Robotic and laparoscopic resections for colon, gastric, pancreatic, and hepatic tumors
Intraoperative assessment including peritoneal washing, high-definition laparoscopy, and selective biopsies to guide staging and treatment
Care Pathway & Coordination.
Initial Oncology Consultation
Comprehensive assessment with labs and imaging
Multidisciplinary Tumor Board
Personalized surgical‑oncologic plan developed collaboratively
Preop Optimization
Nutritional and functional assessment for best surgical readiness
Definitive Treatment
Robotic, laparoscopic, or open surgery; HIPEC or HAI where indicated
Recovery & Follow-Up
Early rehabilitation, postop oncology coordination, surveillance planning
Technology & Facilities.
